One of the needs The J Dilla Foundation strives to meet is the introduction of artist to instrument. The foundation will be collecting gently used instruments and equipment, then matching the items with a young artist. In an effort to turn old equipment into new opportunities, The Be Instrumental program will ensure that where there is a child with a desire to create music, the means and opportunity to do so is available. Dilla’s music has served as a catalyst of creativity for artists and continues to inspire timeless works. It is the foundation’s hope that by providing such a program, young prodigies, and music enthusiasts alike will have the tools and support they need to flourish in their musical pursuits.
